The big reveal.
Wagga’s about to experience a big reveal of its own, as the city’s Community Blitz team unveils their first finishedproject on Saturday to very worthy recipients.
It’s the culmination of countless hours’ work, including gruelling 16-hour days, where blood, sweat and tears were put on the line for Kooringal’s Lisa Saffery and Sarah Williams, whose home was destroyed during flash flooding.Ms Williams is currently recovering from an aggressive tumour that nearly took her life.
Wagga Community Blitz’s Dane Smith said there wasn’t a worthier recipient of the first community-runrenovation.
“Everyone just has a major sense of accomplishment,” he said. “I think they’re going to be very surprised …they might not notice straight away, but there’s a lot of little things such as doors that close properly that will really make a difference.”
Mr Smith thanked local suppliers and tradespeoplewho donated material and time.
